Definition:
That level of technical knowledge, experience, and expertise possessed by the run-of-the-mill or ordinary engineer, scientist, or designer in the technology that is relevant to the invention.

Demand

Definition:
Form PCT/IPEA/401, filed with an International Preliminary Examining Authority, demanding that an international application shall be the subject of an international preliminary examination.

Contributory Infringement

Definition:
Indirect infringement of intellectual property rights in which one person contributes to the direct act of infringement of another.

Trade Name

Definition:
A symbol used to identify and distinguish companies, partnerships, and businesses, as opposed to marks used to identify and distinguish goods or services.

Definition:
Owners of trademark applications and registrations change their names, even though the actual ownership of the application or registration has not been transferred.
